VIETNAMESE VISA EXTENSION PROCEDURES FOR FOREIGNERS IN 2022

The order of implementation is as follows (according to the immigration authority in Vietnam)

Step 1: Prepare documents according to the provisions of Vietnamese law

Records include :

- The application form for issuance, supplementation, amendment of visa and extension of temporary residence (Form NA5).

- Passport or valid international travel document of a foreigner

Step 2: Submit your application

Vietnamese agencies and organizations, Vietnamese citizens and foreigners lawfully residing in Vietnam, submit dossiers at one of three working offices of the Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security:

a) 44-46 Tran Phu, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.

b) 254 Nguyen Trai, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

c) 7 Tran Quy Cap, Da Nang City

The officer receiving the application shall check the legality and content of the application:

+ If it is complete and valid, then receive the application, print and hand over the receipt, schedule a date to return the results.

+ If the dossier is not valid, the dossier-receiving officer shall guide the applicant to supplement the dossier for completeness.

Step 3: Get the result

The person who comes to receive the result gives the receipt to the officer who returns the test results, compares, if there is a result of the temporary residence extension, then asks the person who comes to receive the result to pay the fee and sign for it.

Time: from Monday to Friday every week (except New Year's Day, Public Holiday and Saturday, Sunday).

Processing time: no more than 05 working days from the date of receipt of complete dossiers.

Subjects carrying out administrative procedures: agencies, organizations and foreigners lawfully residing in Vietnam.

Agency carrying out administrative procedures: Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security.

Results of administrative procedures: extension of temporary residence certificate.
